MFCAA staff has the experience, confidence and desire to make sure foster and adopted children, and their parents, are treated fairly within the social services system. It can be difficult to navigate the system and deal with all of the issues that come up when caring for foster and adopted kids. Our advocacy team has 30+ years of experience as foster/adoptive parents and as foster/adopted family advocates, and we hold a great track record for resolving tough situations.
Whether you simply need to know where to find a form, or you're looking for someone to represent your rights during a hotline, we are available for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

MFCAA offers two training sessions each month, at our offices, for foster, adoptive and kinship parents. These trainings are preapproved by the Children's Division to satisfy license training requirements.
Our support groups offer foster and adopted children, and their parents, the chance to help each other build family and individual strength.
JCFAP - The Loop
This email loop was started and is maintained by a Jackson County foster parent, and links foster and adopted parents with each other, as well as placement agencies, training organizations and other people in the foster/adoption community. The Loop is a great resource, with postings regarding: training, sales, children who need placements, respite requests, family events and more.
Email Janet and tell her you want to be part of The Loop.
Email Alerts
All MFCAA members can join our email alerts list. We use this list to send out announcements about MFCAA events, important legislations, availalbe resources and more. If you are an MFCAA member, and are not receiving emails from us (we usually send one out about once a week), email Kim and let her know you want to be part of the email alerts list.
Message Board
Coming Soon! Chat with other Foster and Adoptive families, and their supporters, on the Message Board. The Message Board is a public forum and a wonderful place to visit with people in similar situations, who have experienced the same problems and joys as you.
