Celebrating 13 years supporting foster and adoptive families

2011 School Supplies Drive

School Supplies can be picked up (if you submitted a sign-up form) in the Dining Hall (2nd building on LEFT of the Drumm Farm/MFCAA drive):

Monday, Aug. 8th from 2pm-6pm or
Tuesday, Aug. 9th from 9am-12pm

Every year MFCAA has a school supplies drive. This program was developed as part of our effort to ease the financial strain that is often put on families as they welcome 2, 3, 4 and more children into their homes. Last year we were thrilled to provide over 500 foster and adopted kids with school supplies, and thank the many generous donors who helped us.

If you would like to donate school supplies, or volunteer to help with the program, please let us know.

This program provides basic supplies for all grade levels (supplies are listed below**). If your child’s school requires specific supplies that are not on our list, please make arrangements to purchase those before your child starts school. **Lists will be posted in July, but will include items such as paper, pens, pencils, erasers, crayons, and notebooks.

  • If a placement changes and you need to remove a child or add a child for school supplies, please let us know as soon as possible.

  • If you do not sign up by July 29th, 2011, we cannot guarantee that we will have supplies for you. If you sign up after July 29th, 2011, please come to pick up on Aug. 9th after 12pm ONLY. We will do our best to fill your request with the supplies that are left.
  • Supplies will be bagged according to the information you provide on your request form. All you have to do is come to MFCAA to pick up the bags for your children... it should take no longer than 5 or 10 minutes.
