| THANK YOU for considering adopting one of our families for Christmas. Each family that MFCAA pairs with a donor is making the ultimate commitment to our future by caring for the abused and neglected children of our community. Most of these families have opened every bed in their house in an effort to provide love and stability for their children, and that often creates a financial strain on the family. They greatly appreciate the generosity of people and organizations like you and yours, that help them provide a Merry Christmas for the children in their care. | ![]() |

Most Requested Gifts (if you would like to hold a general gift drive, rather than adopt a family, this list may help your participants decide what to purchase).
If you make a general donation of gifts, rather than adopt a specific family, we will "shop" from those general donations for families that are not matched with donors. We normally have 50 or more families that are not adopted. If you adopt a family, that specific family will receive all of the gifts you provide.
PLEASE SIGN UP NO LATER THAN NOV. 21. If this is a problem, or this date has passed, please let us know and we will work with you to make other arrangements.
We request that each donor provide at least three gifts for each child, but the number of items you provide is at your discretion.
We have asked that all gifts requested by our families be reasonably priced ($30 or less). If you feel that a gift is too expensive, or is inappropriate for any reason, it is 100% your perogative to not purchase that gift.
If you do not have the time or resources to purchase presents, you can sponsor children through monetary donations.
If your organization has enough people, or enough foot traffic, to support an angel tree, we can provide cards with children's names and Christmas requests for you to hang on a tree (with the intention that each child will be adopted by a person/family).
If you are a family or small organization and only have the resources to adopt a couple of people, that's great, we do have a few families with 2-4 people (1 or 2 parents, and 1 to 3 kids).
If you are a large organization with the resources to adopt more than one family, that is great! We do have families of 15+ people. Just list the total number of people you can adopt, and we will assign a family or families that total that number.
We will make sure your gifts get to your family. However, some donors prefer to deliver gifts to their family themselves. If you want to meet your family/deliver your gifts, please tell us that now, as we will have to make sure you are matched wtih a family that can accept a delivery (some privacy issues will not allow delivery by donor to some families).
We have a special need for donors who are willing to adopt teenagers. If you are willing to adopt teenagers, please make sure to check the "No Preference" box in the from below so that we can match you with that age group if necessary. If you want to specifically adopt ONLY teenagers, please be sure to check the teenagers box.
You will be able to request children only, rather than an entire family, if you prefer that option. If you request a family, you will not receive a request sheet from mom and from dad, you will receive one sheet that includes things the family needs and wants (such as board games, bath towels, laundry detergent or toaster).
You will be matched with a family as quickly as a family that closely matches your requests signs up. We will most likely be able to start sending out family info in mid-October. Your family's information will be mailed to you, along with drop-off dates and locations. Please feel free to call with questions (816-350-0215) or email us
Thank you again! We will send a confirmation email within 5 days of submission.
