CHRISTMAS ADOPT-A-FAMILY INFORMATION - For Families and Donors
We do not place foster children, or arrange adoptions. We are in the process of being licensed to license Foster Parents, and our current services are here to support families that currently include foster and adoptive children. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please call Children's Division (889-2595) or Missouri Baptist Children's Home (816-795-8832). If you are interested in becoming and adoptive parent, please call Children's Division (889-2595/Jackson County) or visit the Missouri Department of Social Services Children's Division.
MFCAA SERVICES: All of our services are available free of charge to our
members. Membership with MFCAA is free. To qualify you must have adoptive,
foster or kinship placement children in your home (or be actively awaiting
placement of foster children) If you are interested in
becoming a foster/adoptive parent, please give us a call and we would love to
provide you with more information about caring for these special children.

Respite
Our respite program is designed to give foster and adoptive parents an occasional break. Because foster and adoptive parents often have 5, 6 or more children in their homes, and at least a couple of the children are likely to have special medical or behavioral needs, it can be difficult to find and afford appropriate childcare. MFCAA has a list of volunteer respite providers who have gone through appropriate training, that we can match to specific childcare needs. This service is provided at no charge to the foster/adoptive parent.
