WAYS YOU CAN HELP
Donate
This is the simple, old fashioned way... give money. You may not be able to
be a foster parent, you may not have time to volunteer, you may not know how to
go about helping foster and adoptive kids. It is our job to do all of these
thing, and make sure that foster and adoptive families are supported, so we have
the time and knowledge to do so. The one thing we need is money to fund our
programs.
Every dollar counts. We love big donations, but we appreciate a few dollars just
as much. We know that different people can afford to give different amounts, and
each donation is a blessing.

DONATE TO MFCAA WITHOUT SENDING US ANY MONEY!!
Next time you search the internet, use GoodSearch.com. Each time you search and
click through one of the resulting links, a penny is donated to MFCAA. A penny
may not seem like much to you, but how often do you search the internet. Even
one search each day equals over $5 per year! If 100 people use GoodSearch.com
every day, that equals $500 a year... an amount of money that will fund our Food
Pantry for more than a month!
1. Go to GoodSearch.com 2. In the
"Who do you search for" field, choose Midwest Foster Care and Adoption
Association" 3. Start your Search!
Volunteer
Most of us have a lot of responsibilities that leave us without a lot of cash.
You don't have to give money in order to contribute. We fold 2500 newsletters
each month, clean our own buildings, hand out food to hundreds of people, hang
LOTS of clothing items for our Clothing Closet... we would love help with any of
these things!
Volunteer alone, or bring a group. Contact
Becky to find out more about volunteer opportunities.
Organize A Fundraiser
We have several fundraisers each year, but don't have time to organize as many
as we'd like. You can help us out by having your own fundraiser, in support of
MFCAA. Have a car wash, hold a group garage sale, organize a chili cook-off,
collect per-mile donations and run a 5K... the possibilities are endless.
Let us know if you need brochures or
information to distribute at your fundraiser.
Become a Foster Parent
Not everyone is in a situation that allows them to be a Foster Parent, but
if you think that you would like to help brighten the future of a little boy or
little girl, you can get more information HERE.
Influence Legislation
Foster children and their families are heavily affected by legislation. They are
very much at the mercy of government decisions about removing children from
homes and placing them in care, reimbursement rates (foster and adoptive parents
are responsible for all of the expenses that go along with having children),
support programs, training requirements and more. If you feel that every child
deserves the same chance in life, that our children truly are our future, and
that there is a social responsibility to take care of underserved children, let
your legislators know.
Missouri Legislators
Not in Missouri? If you go to a search engine and type the name of your state,
followed by the word "legislators", pages will pop up that lead you to a list of
your state legislators, and their contact information.
